Group Reader Guide
For readers taking part in a group — you'll read a short passage aloud as part of a group during the relay. Follow these steps to be ready for Biblathon 2026 (14–18 October 2026).
Before you start
- Your invitation link, or the group you'd like to join.
- The language and Bible version you'd like to read in. If you read at more than one time, you can choose a different language and Bible version for each.
- Your Bible — your group's venue provides the device, camera, and microphone.
- A quiet space and a strong, stable internet connection.
Before the Event
Join your group
If you were invited, click the link in your invitation. Otherwise use Find a Group, filter by country, and request to join — the group leader approves your request. If you don't have an account yet, you'll register and verify your email with a 6-digit code.
Choose your slot, language, and Bible version
On your dashboard, open your group's slot picker, choose an available slot, and set the language and Bible version you'll read in. A reading slot is about 12 to 18 minutes.
Know your chapters
Your booking shows the indicative book and chapters you'll read. The exact starting chapter can shift slightly with the reading pace on the day. You always finish a chapter before handing over to the next reader.
Check your details
Your dashboard shows your date, local time, and check-in time. You'll receive a Zoom link by email — it's also on your dashboard. You can modify or cancel your slot up to 48 hours before.
On the Day
Join your group for check-in
Join your group at its venue for check-in, 20 minutes before the group starts reading. Group reading takes place in person, at a physical venue — you take part with your group, not remotely.
Learn your chapters
At check-in, the Onboarding Host tells your group which chapters it will read and suggests how to break them up among the readers. Your Group Leader then decides, with the readers, the order and the chapters each of you will read.
Read your chapters
When it's your turn, read aloud clearly and at a steady pace.
Hand off to the next reader
Finish your last chapter, then hand over to the next reader so the relay continues without a break. If you're the last reader in your group's block, your group is transferred back from the Reading Room to the Backstage, and the next group continues the relay.
If you can't make it
Let your group leader know as soon as you can, so your chapters are covered.
Tip: read a few chapters of the indicative book aloud once or twice beforehand — it helps it flow on the day.
