Solo Reader Guide
For solo readers — you'll read a short passage on your own, from wherever you are, as part of the global relay. Follow these steps to be ready for Biblathon 2026 (14–18 October 2026).
Before you start
- The language and Bible version you'd like to read in.
- A device with a camera and microphone, and your Bible.
- A quiet space and a strong, stable internet connection.
Before the Event
Register as a solo reader
Go to Register, choose Join as Reader, then Read on Your Own, and follow the steps. Create your account and verify your email with a 6-digit code. If you already have an account or are part of a group, you can still read on your own — go to your Main Dashboard and choose Book a Reading Slot.
Pick your slot
From the solo reading calendar, browse the available times and choose the slot that suits you. Then set the language and Bible version you'll read in. A reading slot is about 12 to 18 minutes.
Know your chapters
Your booking shows the indicative book and chapters you'll read. The exact starting chapter can shift slightly with the reading pace on the day. You always finish a chapter before handing over to the next reader.
Check your details
Your dashboard shows your date, local time, and check-in time. You'll receive a Zoom link by email — it's also on your dashboard. You can modify or cancel your slot up to 48 hours before.
On the Day
Be ready at check-in
Your check-in time is 15 minutes before your reading slot. Join by Zoom using your link.
Read your chapters
When the host cues you, read aloud clearly and at a steady pace.
Hand off to the next reader
Finish your last chapter, then you'll be automatically transferred back from the Reading Room to the Backstage, so the relay continues without a break.
Tip: read a few chapters of the indicative book aloud once or twice beforehand — it helps it flow on the day.
